Computer Fail

Actually a couple of computer fails this week.

Fail #1 was catching the 'hook' trojan virus --
somewhat embarrassed I actually got a virus. So I figure it would be a good time to format and try the new Windows 7. Formatted the hard drive and ... BAM. Computer doesn't recognize the hard drive anymore. I tried all sorts of tricks like installing Vista instead of Windows 7, and even downgrading back down to Windows XP, but nothing worked. I also tried downloading new drivers and even connecting the kitchen sink to no avail. In the end, I had to go out and buy a new hard drive. Managed to install Windows 7 on it and it's great!! Really enjoying Windows 7.

Fail #2. Windows 7 Ultimate has a new feature called BitLocker that encrypts and
protects your hard drive. So the other night, I tried it on my E:\ drive (Hobbes) ... and the next day, it disappeared. What did I meant by 'it disappeared'? Well, my E:\ drive is no longer there and visible in Explorer. The drive is now so secured that even I can't access it. LOL

Ironically, Hobbes is the same drive in Fail #1. Maybe the drive is just a fail.
