Spoon Fail

Lost the spoon I borrowed from the Korean Air three years ago. Now I have no spoon for lunch at work... Bah.

August 18th, 2009 Update:
Korea Airline Loses...
Pol found a new spoon. Turns out Pol's mom also
borrowed a set when she flew Korean Airline years ago.

Salad Fail?

Leaving your salad sitting in your car for 9 hours all day last Saturday, and eating it next Monday for lunch couldn't possibly be bad for you, could it?

Update:
Felt fine the next day. So a win!

Aspen Beach Fail

The much anticipated beach event at Aspen was canceled yesterday due to some very un-summer-like weather. Temperature high's of 20C degree was not ideal for the beach so we all opted to go race Go-Kart and play laser tag instead.
DDR: Failed at Standard setting for Dance Dance Revolution at the arcade.
Who knew DDR could be that hard?

GG, Calgary weather. Cool and rainy for the past two weeks... but forecast to be 30C this weekend.

Oasys Lenses fail

Getting pwned by this pair of Oasys contact lenses. Gonna need to throw them out tonight...

Really? Who put on their contact lenses like that?!

Those are pretty scary man-fingers in that picture.

What NOT to say to your gf

Marriage is just a 'contract' created by the institution of our society that fails as often as it succeeds. Created by the bourgeois desire to fulfill an ideal that society embeds in us from an early age to promote consumer capitalist agenda.

Misc Fail

So my fail was forgetting my ID Card in my jacket's pocket, which was on loan to Sweetest Suffering the previous evening as it was cold and raining.

As such she dropped by on Tuesday after work to give me back the ID Card. It was a very nice and sweet gesture, but she also walked in the wrong direction heading home afterward. I saw that fail! @_@

Olive Counting Fail

Saturday evening, a blistering hot day. We ate at Cora's in the afternoon for brunch, did some shopping and had an otherwise marvelous day. In the evening the plan was to meet up with Sweetest Suffering's friends for dinner. So we arrived at Olive Garden early, and I asked the gf how many people we have in our party.

She did some counting and came back with 6 people. Fair enough. Fifteen minutes later, we had ourselves a table for 6 and were seated. Shorftly after, her friends arrived and we realized she mis-counted. It's 7 people and not 6 ... so we all had to get back to the queue to wait for another table large enough for 7 because adding an extra chair to ours was a fire hazard.

Olive Garden, you fail...
and my Sweetest Suffering also can't count. hehehe

Math 101 Fail

So my brilliant engineering gf and I were driving through downtown last Friday, en route to dinner when we saw Encana's new 58-story building , The Bow. I casually remarked it will soon be Calgary's tallest building.

In response, my ever patriotic gf said The Bow is not even HALF as tall as the Taipei 101 (which, of course, has 101 floors).

^_^

I did some quick math in my head and 2 x 58 = 116, which is taller than the 101 floors.

She countered that even doubling The Bow, it is still only 5 floors taller than the Taipei 101.

Like any good bf would do, I corrected her of course, and got pinched for my reward.

...

- you got that right!
